This past Saturday, the Christmas in April GBC Team visited the home of Mrs. Williams who lives in our Calvert County community.  While working on her home,  Mrs. Williams said that “I felt I had died and gone to heaven”. The many things that took place gave her peace, comfort, safety and took away the stress and anxiety that was robbing her of all these things. She was praising God and thanking Him for all that we were able to accomplish thru Him.

What a privilege to serve others through the love of Christ and that He would give us the talents and abilities to do just that. Jesus made this all possible. Jesus receives all the glory and praise.  The people serve because He served as an example and calls us to do the same.

Here are some of the many jobs that the GBC TEAM accomplished:

*Major plumbing job (Mrs. Williams comment,  “It may seem archaic to say it’s nice to be able to take a bath again”. She could not do that because the water was dirty and unsafe for a long time)

*replace flooring in foyer

*paint hallway and doorways and trim and hand rails

*repair sliding glass door

*replace fire/carbon monoxide detectors

* power wash deck, house, concrete patio, front walkway and front porch

*install all new gutter guards

* replace outdoor electric outlet

* mowed the lawn

* raked the yard

* trimmed trees and bushes

* mulched

* planted some flowers

I personally want to thank all of the GBC TEAM, the church staff and any and all who prayed on behalf of this project.

In Christ love,

Jim Brown
