This past weekend, GBC had a large crew partner with Christmas in April of Calvert County to offer assistance to two local families who were in need of home repair and yard work.  Their Saturday was a full day of work consisting of four main jobs at location one.  These jobs included a full kitchen renovation with replacement of all the cabinets, removal of a defective A.C. unit and replacing it with a new one,  refurbishing a window that had rusted and needed replacement, and replacing all the deck rails and stabilizing of the main entrance post to the deck.  Additionally, a smaller crew went to a second location and worked to weed, mulch and maintenance their yard.

“The GBC Team was phenomenal, they out-did themselves, giving over and above the call of duty and serving our God to the max!” states Jim Brown, crew leader for the GBC Team.  “I am thankful for each and every one of them.   We had a great time working and fellowshiping with one another and the family.    Cindy Jones [the homeowner whose home got a new kitchen] prepared a wonderful meal for the team at her house.  And God provided a BEAUTIFUL day for us to work.”

This was a wonderful opportunity to serve our community!  “Thank you for giving us an opportunity to share our talent and abilities to help and assist in Christmas in April”, exclaims Jim.  Ephesians 3:20 “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us”.
