Emotional First Aid

March 1, 2020 - March 2, 2020

Join us on April 17th from 7:00pm-9:00pm and April 18th from 8:30am-4:00pm for an Emotional First Aid workshop.

The Bible tells us that when we are followers of Jesus we will face suffering and persecution. But how do we respond in the midst of this suffering? How do we help others who are suffering? More often than not we don’t know who to handle suffering or help others who are experiencing suffering. Suffering has a huge impact in our world as can be seen in the number of Christians who fall away, walk away from their faith, or just cease to grow due to difficult things they have suffered. This Emotional First Aid workshop helps to fill in the gaps and provide us with training on how to help those who are suffering. Emotional First Aid helps believers be more resilient to suffering and difficulties in their life as well as equip them to help others, too.

We pray that you will join us for this workshop where participants will be led through 5 highly interactive sessions where 6 tools are identified, described, and practiced by the participants from their own life-experience. The five sessions are:

  1. If God Loves Us, Why Do We Suffer?
  2. How Can the Wounds of Our Hearts Be Healed?
  3. What Happens When Someone is Grieving?
  4. Taking Our Pain to the Cross
  5. How Can We Forgive Others?
