Mission & Outreach
Outreach projects & Missions
At Calvert Grace, we find our calling and instruction as followers of Jesus in Scripture.
Jesus, in Acts 1:8, tells the disciples, “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we are called and sent to share the gospel locally, regionally, and globally. We have structured our efforts at Calvert Grace in the same vein, intentionally making disciples of our neighbors, of our cities and regions, and to the far reaches of the world.
Below, you will find more information, resources, and additional steps to get connected with opportunities to go and serve your neighbors, our county, and around the world.
Your Neighbor
Your neighbor is anyone you come across in your normal day-to-day life. It could be the person next door, a co-worker, store clerk, or mailman. It could be someone who sits at the lunch table with you or who you walk past on the sidewalk. Loving our neighbor as Jesus commands us to (Mark 12:30-31) means we pay attention to the needs of those around us and find ways to make them feel loved. Ultimately, we want to tell them about the perfect, eternal love only found in a relationship with Jesus.

Local Outreach
There are great needs and opportunities to serve our community. We find our motivation in Matthew 25:35-40 when Jesus commands us to serve “the least of these.”
As a church we partner with several organizations in the Calvert County area to empower these organizations to serve at-risk communities. Our partnership comes in the form of our time, talent, and treasure. We provide monthly financial support (our treasure) for them to accomplish their goals and we find unique ways to serve with them (our time and talent). GLOBAL MISSIONS
“Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:18-20
We take this command seriously through loving our neighbor, serving locally, and sending and supporting missionaries around the world. We partner with over 30 missionaries throughout Africa, Europe, Asia, and Southeast Asia. Each partnership looks a little different given the ministry context and opportunities, but the core partnership is the same: we pray for them and we financially support them. Sometimes, we also send short-term missions teams to serve with them. If you’re interested in learning more about our partners or about our upcoming trips, click below.
