Made For a Time Like This

God’s Promises

God’s promises are not affected by our circumstances. Join us this week as God reminds us His promises are certain and can be trusted, because God is faithful and He will cause them to come to pass. As you think on God’s promises to you in His Word this week, take heart in knowing every promise is true.

What’s In A Name?

Names were important to the Hebrew people. They believed a name revealed a person’s essence. God reveals His name to be all encompassing, self-identifying, and unchanging – all reflecting the perfection of God. As we prepare to hear from God’s Word this week, consider the honor we have of calling the God of Creation, our God – our Father in heaven – our Friend – our Redeemer – our Lord – our Savior.

Who Am I?

“Who am I?”, is a question most all of us will ask ourselves at some point in life. We might question our competence for a task, our purpose in life, and/or our place in the world. This week, we will be reminded God’s response to Moses’ question is God’s response to us today – we are God’s creation, made for His purpose, which will be fulfilled through God’s presence in our life.

God Hears, God Remembers, God Sees, & God Knows

God is faithful to His promises. Join us this week as we are encouraged by God’s Word that He is aware of our every-day trials and knows our every need. Just as Israel could be assured God heard their cries and remembered His promises to them, God hears our cries today, and will not let His promises in Jesus go unfulfilled.

From Palace to Pasture

Moses’ life, like all of ours, was full of twists and turns. Perhaps you know the feeling – going from being on top of the world, to being rolled over by the world; going from seeming to have it all, to finding yourself having nothing at all. This week, we see Moses go from the palace to a pasture in the middle of nowhere.  Despite the appearance that all is lost, God’s Word reminds us this week that, like Moses, we can live in the confident assurance God is actively over our life’s path – taking every twist and turn and weaving us into His perfect plan.

Every Life Counts

If the King of Egypt had his way, Moses would never have lived. But, God had plans for Moses no one could foresee, that would change history for the people of Israel. Join us this week as we consider the fact that God has a plan for every life – for YOUR life – and it is not dependent on what the world thinks of you, or His plan for you.

Changing Times – Unchanging God

We live in a changing world, but we serve an unchanging God. Join us this week as we begin our study in Exodus and are reminded that though life’s circumstances are constantly changing, our God is ever-faithful to those who are faithful to Him.
