Facing Giants

Dario Agnolutto • 1 Samuel 17:45-47

From the series: A Tale of Two Kings

Saul, despite being anointed King by God, was fearful of the enemies of Israel. When confronted with Goliath, Saul wavered with the same fear his people did. David, confident in the God he served, was fearless in the face of the enemy, no matter their size. This classic narrative is once again a reminder to us of the power we have in Christ to confront the enemies of God in the world today; of our ability to live fearless before the world, because Jesus has overcome the world.
