When we were called to follow Jesus, we were called to become part of God’s church – the means by which He would reveal His wisdom. The Church is the instrument by which God would receive glory (Ephesians 3:21). As God’s church, we represent the fullness of Christ, His body, over which He is the head (Ephesians 1:22-23, Colossians 1:18). Individually and collectively, we exist for God’s glory, not our own. We do not gather for our plans, programs, and agendas. Rather, we exist to carry out God’s purposes and plans for us as a reflection of His glory.
