The call Jesus gave his disciples was to be God’s witnesses from Jerusalem to Judea and Samaria, then to the ends of the earth. This meant we would need to be prepared to leave the comforts of where we are and who we are with; to take the gospel beyond our communities and beyond those like us. Given our preference for comfort in life, we will often find God using our circumstances in life – like COVID viruses - to move us into situations and places to share the gospel that we are not prone to go on our own. Our message this week reminds us that where the world sees trials as obstacles to overcome in this life, God uses trials to move us into opportunities to share with the world the Good News of Jesus bringing us eternal life.
