Your Labor is Not in Vain

Joe Couch • 1 Corinthians 15:58

From the series: Dear Church

Paul has reminded the church that their eternal salvation is assured, that the victory over death has been won; there is nothing they need to fear that needs to be done, that is not already assured in Jesus' resurrection. In light of this, Paul urges the church to always be "abounding in the work of the Lord." No matter what they may be facing, no matter the struggles they were dealing with in the church and their society - the work of the Lord will stand for eternity and nothing they ever invest in for God will ever be in vain. This is our rallying call to continue to serve and live for Jesus today - no matter how exasperating, futile, or unpopular it may seem. We will see God's work bearing God's fruit - not because of what we do, but because of what God will do through us!
