Men’s Ministry

Men's Ministry

"Be Watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.  Let all that you do be done in love."

1 Corinthians 16:13-14

This verse embodies what we desire for our men's ministry to be at Grace Brethren.  The Christian man is disappearing from our society; this affects marriages, families and our community.  We desire to be a "band of brothers" who stand firm together as one man; strong in the faith, strong in loving and leading our families; being watchful to guard our wives, our children, one another and this church.  We desire to walk in love in all that we do, acting like men of God who proclaim Jesus Christ through our lives and our words to this world.

Some of the men's ministries you can look forward to throughout year are:

  • Fight Club- Fight Club is a 10-week journey where men are required to complete weekly challenges within the context of community and accountability.
  • Annual Men's Retreat - Once a year the men embark on a weekend retreat to spend time in worship, prayer, fellowship and community. The retreat usually occurs in April at Kenbrook Bible Camp in Pennsylvania.
  • Basketball Ministry - To glorify God in Christian competition and fellowship through the fun game of basketball. We meet during the school year in the Family Life Center on Tuesday nights from 7-9pm in the Family Life Center.
  • Men's Softball Minsitry- To glorify God in Christian competition and fellowship. We glorify God using the abilities He has given us.
