We believe baptism is an act of obedience to the command of Jesus that all those who profess their personal faith in Him as their Savior should be baptized as a public expression of their commitment to Him. We find personal commitment to Jesus and baptism to be closely linked in Scripture. (See Mark 16:16, Acts 2:41 and Acts 8:12-13) Therefore, we baptize those who have professed they have missed God’s standard for life, and who have accepted the free gift of forgiveness for missing God’s standard for life that we have in Jesus.
We practice baptism by immersing the person being baptized three times in water, with each dip representing a Person of the Trinity (God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit). (See Acts 8:36-38 – water, John 3:23 – much water; and Matthew 28:19-20 – triple immersion).
We hold baptisms periodically over the year. If you are interested in baptism click here to contact us and to arrange a time to meet with a Pastor.
